André has delivered several consultancy jobs for Bosch since 2000. In 2000 he started as member of the Bosch corporate software improvement programme BISS (Bosch Initiative for Software-determined Systems). In this project he brought with him his Ericsson experience where he has also participated in the corporate improvement programme. In the BISS programme, first CMM and later CMMI were introduced into all Bosch business units producing software. In total this work affected several thousands of software engineers, mainly in Germany.
Later, André also supported some business units more intensively, e.g. the unit Thermo Technik, Electromotor manufacturing, Braking Systems and Gasoline Systems. This work involved support in interpreting the CMMI model in the automotive domain, and suggesting practical ways to improve processes and organisational structures.
